Oasis have just released their sixth album Dig Out your Soul and, well, they're the ones that could probably use a shovel. Because they're stuck in a big, fat rut.
No one's expecting Definitely Maybe anymore but even their weaker albums have two or three cracking tracks on them. In The Turning, this album has one. The rest is just the same old, same old.
The failure rate only increases whenever Noel relinquishes the song-writing duties, and the growing dereliction now sees about a third of the album given over to other band members.
So I'd like a third of my money back, please. You know, that imaginery money I used? Just... pretend to give something back to me, that'll do.
