Yep, Raiders of the Lost Ark. From 1981.

I'd never seen it. Not all of it anyway.

And, in all honesty, watching it right through tonight didn't much help either. There were lots of nice setpieces but they didn't really knit together. And by the time you reach the millionth action sequence, it's just like... is there much more of this?

I'm going to watch the sequels, but, you know what?




I'm starting to think writer George Lucas is just a big, fat phoney.

There. I said it.

Raiders of the Lost Ark: 6/10.
