Gone Baby Gone is the directorial debut by Ben Affleck and stars his kid brother Casey in the lead role. The movie tells the story of the search for an abducted girl and its delayed release over here is largely because of it's eerie similarities to the Madeleine McCann case.

Set in Boston, with all its weird dialect, it's a pretty intense piece of work that's predicated on a number of moral dilemmas.

That said, the moral dilemmas aren't really dilemmas at all and I think the film loses a lot of credibility when Big Afflect starts contriving reactions from key characters that simply don't ring true.

However, for want of revealing the plot, I'll simply bullet what I think will be the overwhelming reaction to the two major conundrums.

- Kill.
- Return.

Bosh. Job done.

Gone Baby Gone: 6/10.
