The line 'If You've Got Nothing To Hide, You've Got Nothing To Fear...' is trotted out so regularly, it's almost become a maxim.
But it relies on the law being fair and equitable. And the moment a poor law is enacted, it stops looking so clever. And the general principles of law cannot, inherently, allow for every eventuality.
It's a stupid saying, is what I'm saying.
